My klode° bin doesn't seem to hold a vacuum. What should I do?Updated 10 months ago

If you have the feeling that your bin is not holding vacuum, follow the steps below:

Your bin is new: have you just received your bin? Pump it several times, as it may take a little time for the mechanism to settle into place on first use.

Before contacting our support team, please follow these simple steps:

Preliminary precautions ⚠️

  1. When the handle locks, do not force it.
  2. Don't dismantle your bin, contact our after-sales service.
  3. When contacting our after-sales service, always reply to our last e-mail and always contact us with the same e-mail address, to ensure optimum follow-up.

1. Handle:

Check the condition of your handle

Then check the gap between the handle and the cover. If you notice a gap, watch this video (below) (FR)

2. Purge seal

Check the purge seal. ⚠️ it's only on the left, you don't have one on the right, so you haven't lost anything.

3. Valve

When you clean your bin, or have the moisture from the waste it contains, the grease in the seals can sometimes be less homogeneous. By rotating the valve seal, you help the grease to distribute itself evenly.

4. Once all these steps have been completed, replace the filter, close your bin and pump the top a dozen times. If the vacuum seems to be working again, you're all set! If not, make a short video and send it to us by following this steps (below):  (EN)
